TD Ameritrade Event

Every company looks for ways to be unique and motivate their staff.  For the TD Ameritrade Leadership Summit this month, Taro’s Origami Studio was asked to do just that.  The event was held at the Huntington Langham Resort in Pasadena.

The event had several different activities, including a make-your-own-fragrance booth and a learn-to-juggle station as well.  Each station had their own check-in device (you can see it in the middle of the origami table) which allowed each guest to check in with a chip on their lanyard and receive benefits throughout the week.  You can even see how people checked in on the tv screens around the event.

Before the event started, the staff for the event talked with the origami folders about what models to teach and what colors of paper to use, so they were able tailor the experience to the event.  An good example is that only the colors of the TD Ameritrade logo were used.  Over the course of the event, Senior Artist Ben Friesen folded and taught models as varied as flowers, animals, and modulars.  Specifically bears and bulls were a nice hit with the financial staff of the company.
