One of our core services is origami production. No matter how complex your model is, or how many of them you need- we can fold it out of paper and give you something unique to be excited about. Here is a quick list of some of our services and past projects in this category, and if you’d like more detailed info on our rates, please check our price list here.
Mass Production
Sometimes clients need an incredibly large amount of something folded, but with our experienced and talented team of origami folders, no project is too big. From custom models we designed ourselves, to simple traditional ones, save your fingers and leave it to the professionals. We’ve made thousands of models each for countless projects, and make sure that each one is folded as carefully as possible. We also have folders in many different locations which means we are able to assemble a strong folding force in very little time if the projects calls for it. For example, the picture below is from a rose bouquet project that required 3,000 handmade foil roses and 2,000 leaves assembled in under 3 weeks.
Custom Designs
Origami is a very unique way to represent something. Even though paper folding has been around for hundreds of years, it stills brings things to life in a way that simple photographs or videos fail to capture. We’ve done everything from replicating famous buildings in paper, to designing brand new origami models for both private and public use. Our team of senior designers and origami master Taro Yaguchi have decades of experience and can find a way around whatever constraints you may have.
Logo Recreation
Creating a logo out of paper is always a great way to bring it to life. We’ve done this on a number of occasions, sometimes for giant multinational ad campaigns, but also sometimes for fun gifts to hands out to employees.
Diagraming
When you really want to go the extra mile though, nothing beats actually folding something yourself. So if you want to spread the joy of origami folding far and wide, we also have a ton of experience in creating easy-to-follow folding sequences so that you can hand over the reigns and watch your guests or friends build something with their own two hands. Sometimes these models call for the instructions to be on the same sheet as the model, and in this case we utilize a unique “fold-by-number” technique pioneered by Taro Yaguchi- take a look at the Berkeley Haas Campanile below as an example. Otherwise we are adept in using the standard origami folding techniques to easily get a beginner through a model and pleased with the final result.
Dollar Bill Folding
Lastly we also love to work in medium other than traditional square sheets of paper, and one of the most useful offshoots for this is dollar bill origami. After all, you almost always have one of them readily available and it goes a great job of providing more information about your project or goals. For our talented group of designers, a change in the proportions of a model is a fun challenge, and the finished results always look fantastic.
