Origami Cars Using International Currency

Home/Uncategorized/Origami Cars Using International Currency

All kinds of things can be folded out of money, and cars are no exception!  For this project with a Bay Area company, Taro’s Origami Studio created a whole bunch of origami car options- some flat and some fully 3-dimensional, for an international ad campaign.  These models are all original designs and for the final stage of the project, Taro’s used real Mexican Pesos.

We began with just the different sized currencies and worked to fold cars of all sizes and shapes so that the client could decide what worked best for their project.  These photos are meant to show the different stages we went through to reach the final model.
