As a part of the activities provided by Oracle during the Oracle OpenWorld Convention, Taro’s Origami Studio setup an origami station to help people relax and learn something new. This area of the convention hall was sectioned off and specifically dedicated to our origami teaching.
Taro’s also designed a few brand new teach-themed origami models for the event, like a laptop, and cloud. People could drop by and learn from a teacher how to make any of the models, or some of them actually took it as a design challenge and unfolded sample models so they could see the underlying folds and attempt to re-create them. Several of the visitors really enjoyed the added puzzle of trying to reverse-engineer the models instead of following diagrams or lessons.
