They decided to seek out origami not only because of the ties to their Japanese roots, but also because origami is the perfect activity to do while stuck inside.

After some brainstorming, a brand new service was created: the Taro’s Origami Subscription Service. In collaboration with Mikihouse, the Taro’s Origami staff created a list of models that fit their goals for each month, and filmed new videos for each of the models.

Then, each month the studio sends out a brand new pack of Japanese origami paper to qualifying customers, while Mikihouse uploads the new instructional video to their website. Click on the image to make a model of your own!

This creates a number of benefits for everyone. From a marketing perspective it adds a lot of value to each of the purchases at Mikihouse and builds brand loyalty, but more importantly it is also a great opportunity for parents to bond with their children and boost their creativity with only paper and hands.
