Jennifer didn’t start paper folding until later in life when she became a stay-at-home-Mother to two children, Max and Sophie. After purchasing her first Origami bird-making kit, she couldn’t stop folding paper and within the next year began her own After School Enrichment Program, Origami Mami which is still going strong today. She teaches Origami at 9 local Elementary Schools in the East Bay and designs most of her own models for each of the weekly projects. In addition, she is a self-published illustrator of her own Coloring Book, “Botanimals-A Coloring Book of Flora and Fauna. She also enjoys painting and being close to nature.

Kicking off the Holiday Season with Gift Wrapping at Lord & Taylor
For Lord & Taylor's 5th Avenue holiday window unveiling, Taro's Origami Studio was hired by Lord & Taylor's to provide complimentary gift wrapping and origami embellishments for customers who attended the event. Our staff wrapped gifts in both the American and Japanese style, with the origami folded from vibrant washi paper.
