Indegene & Taro’s Origami Princeton Event

Origami is usually a very solitary artform.  But for our recent event in Princeton, we were given a few new goals.  Not only did the biopharmaceutical company Indegene want to celebrate their 25th anniversary, but they also wanted to have a little friendly competition.  The class was taught by Senior Artsists Frank Ling and Jeff Raab.

Jeff began everything with some simple models to get everyone comfortable.  The staff brought special orgiami papers in the company colors as well so that everything looked cohesive.

Then after the simple models we taught and everyone had a sense of accomplishment, the guests from Indegene were asked to work as a team to fold as many as possible in only a few minutes.  The table with the most butterflies and boats was declared the winner.

Then all the models were placed on a central art board to be hung later in the company.  The artists had a great trip and everyone was able to learn several new origami skills and models.
