My family visited Taro’s Origami Studio in September. Outside was still so hot after visiting Senso-ji Temple. Walking along the Semida river and came into the studio. Inside was so air conditioned and comfortable. Displays are beautiful and the self-guided system worked well.
David, the manager, was very helpful.

We knew going to Japan this time we wanted to learn to fold Origami. It was hard to find many places that were available, or were accessible in English - so when we stumbled upon Taro's, we were excited. We learned how to fold many items, along with the help of step by step computer guides and an instructor. They were prepared for our reservation and incredibly welcoming. We loved that this experience was just the right length as well - 30 minutes. We wanted a taste of it without spending the whole afternoon on it. We walked here after visiting Senso-ji temple (they are very close) and then finished our afternoon walking through Sumida park along the river. It was the perfect part of an afternoon in Asakusa. Based on service, price, and location - I'd highly recommend them.

Fun and cozy place for none Japanese-speaking kids to learn about origami art. David was really friendly and helpful to guide us through our whole experience.

We had a great time doing some Origami at Taro’s. After visiting Asakusa on a rainy day it was a great activity to do. The kids had some fun time too.

Really cool spot in Asakusa - you can come in and try some origami folding. They have paper and instructions on iPads. Everyone was really nice! There are some complex ones but also easy ones. There’s a surprise in the bathroom!

This would be the best place for non-Japanese tourists in Japan to learn how to do "ORIGAMI." I enjoyed making an ORIGAMI penguin, following the English instructions on a handy screen. It was fun. The studio is located in Asakusa, one of the most favorite tourist spots in Tokyo.

Taro’s Origami Studio is a place where you can have a great experience, and of course, a great time. Folding origami since I was young, it felt very zen folding origami again and reminiscing back on my childhood. I was amazed at the pieces in the room that were made by the staff and the intricacies involved with folding each piece. A definite must go for people who love origami.
