Taro’s Origami Studio was recently asked to design a dollar bill movie camera for the front cover of the Spring 2017 issue of the Documentary Magazine. The origami model is a unique one, designed and folded by Taro Yaguchi just for this project. The model was also featured in the cover article in the magazine around the topic facing the future of film funding.  All told, the model took a very days and a few revision with the client to complete, but the result is a very life-like movie camera.  The majority of the main camera body is one dollar bill and the tripod legs is a different dollar bill so that we could keep the very thin.  We love the way i turned out- and so did the client.
