It’s been a long road to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but they have finally arrived, and we are incredibly proud to have been a small part of it.  For this year’s festivities, we have been working with the Olympic Channel to add some authentic Japanese paper folding and origami to their social media feeds.  In all we designed, test-folded, and shot in time-lapse over 17 models for the games- 1 per day for the duration of the events.

Here you can see our first take on the athlete body, and then the much improved figure after that.  As you can see the second figure looks much less like a frog person 🙂

After the sports and human models were picked out and agreed upon, we got to work playing with the models, setting up the studio for proper lighting and then posing everything so that they looked just right.

From there the videos were passed along to the Olympic Channel and they began putting them up on social media throughout the games!  We are very proud to see our work on display and hope you have fun watching the videos and seeing origami in action.   Once the games are over, we’ll display all of the models that we made, but here’s a taste of what’s been released so far!
